Cameron Receives Call To Serve

Cameron received his call to serve on Thursday, October 25, 2007. Needless to say this was an exciting day for Tamara and I, Cameron, the entire family and many close friends. When I arrived home from work the excitement was palpable and when Grandma Summerhays arrived we all sat down in the living room and started the video camera rolling.

Cameron began reading out loud, and the video captured the priceless looks and sounds of anticipation and then surprise as he announced that he would be serving in the Brazil, Goiania Mission. Gasps were heard when he read that he would report directly to the MTC in Sao Paulo on March 5, 2008.... over four months away!

Cameron spent the next 24 hours straight calling family and friends. It was fun seeing his smile as he explained where he was going.

What a day it was.

We have all been busy getting ready, suits, luggage, passport and visa etc. The time is drawing close and I think we're all a little nervous.
