Oct. 21 Emails

Hey mom, things are going well here, it´s raining like any normal rainy day in Washington... hours on end, it´s awesome. The meeting went well, did I not tell you it was a mission tour? Elder Amato (not amado, Amato... they both exist) of the seventy was there to talk with us, I got to converse with him a little and he is a great. I wasn´t interviewed by him, but we just talked for a little bit it was really cool, he is really friendly.

We are going to be working really hard this week because we are trying to get 6 baptisms this Saturday/Sunday, we have a goal for seven that we need to meet, so it is going to be really tough, but we can do it. The thing is 6 baptisms will be the biggest miracle that has happened to me yet in the mission, but a mission is where most miracles happen if you ask me, we are going to make this happen, but I am going to be tired that is for sure. Maria Jose´ and Nathan. They just need to go to church is all, they are great.

I thought the Dahlstroms had already left, I am glad they are doing well. Yeah he is really funny, I always like working with him because he always had great stories. Tell Sister Soelberg that I said hi and tell Brother Soelberg that I am still waiting for a letter haha.

I received sister Catron's package about 3 or 4 weeks ago if I´m remembering correctly. Please tell her thank you very much, it was great. Also, we ate all of the candy. I am really excited to receive your package. I am sure it will get here without trouble.

I am feeling great about the language, I am starting to realize now that it came to me a lot easier that it does to a lot of missionaries. I don´t want to be prideful though so I´ll leave it at that.

I love you too, I have got to get going, but be happy and I loved the revelation given by Boyd K. Packer. Live by the words of the Prophets, they are real. I know that what he is saying is not just warning, it is promise. Be prepared. I love you very much mom, give everyone an enormous hug for me okay? Be happy, be good, be safe!

Love,
Elder Cameron Dean Summerhays

Okay, I read the other one first. Glad the package got there (I know -- you already told me! haha). It's still a relief to see it in print. haha

I'm so glad he was able to learn the language without too much trouble. That really is a miracle of the gift of tongues...and maybe that work he did before his mission helped too.
